A Tradition Of Success

Weseloh & Company was founded in 1979 by John T. Devivo and Robert L. Weseloh. In 2006, the firm was purchased by Daniel J. Carney and became Weseloh Carney & Company LLC. The personnel who have proudly provided tax services for many years as Weseloh & Company remain and the firm has grown over the years. Weseloh Carney & Company LLC offices are located in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.

At Weseloh Carney & Company LLC, we believe our operating / practice policies and procedures have always provided for and achieved a high level of quality work for the benefit of our clients. Our Poconos tax firm has established and adhered to high standards of quality control in all aspects of our client service. We have established a system of internal quality control that provides reasonable assurance that our personnel are professionally competent, objective, and exercise due professional care. Weseloh Carney & Company LLC is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the National Society of Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Society Of Tax & Accounting Professionals, the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce, the Eastburg Community Alliance, and the Community Associations Institute.

Our tax firm participates in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant’s quality review program, which requires a quality review be performed by an AICPA member firm every three years.

Daniel J. Carney, CPA, Partner

Daniel J. Carney is a certified public accountant licensed in New York and Pennsylvania since 1987. Mr. Carney obtained his undergraduate BBA from Baruch College in NYC. He has earned three graduate degrees: MBA with a Finance concentration; MS in Statistics; and a MA in Taxes. Mr. Carney has also performed advanced graduate work in business strategy.

Mr. Carney served as Chief Financial Officer of a billion-dollar generic pharmaceutical firm for four years. Prior to his acquisition of Weseloh & Co. in 2006, Mr. Carney served as managing partner of Folli, DePlato, and Carney CPA’s. Throughout his career, he has served on various for-profit and not-for-profit boards of directors. He resides in Monroe County, Pennsylvania with his wife and four children.

Bradley M. Hockman, CPA, ABV, Partner

Bradley M. Hockman has been with the firm since 1992. A certified public accountant, Mr. Hockman has over forty years of experience in public accounting. He performs accounting services, prepares financial statements, assists with business and tax planning, and prepares income tax returns for businesses and individuals. He also specializes in business valuation and litigation support services.

Mr. Hockman served as Finance NCO in the United States Army Reserve from 1977 to 1986, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting from Muhlenberg College and went on to earn his Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) accreditation in 1998 and the Certificate of Educational Achievement for Business Valuations in 1999.

Mr. Hockman has been part of the Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church family since 2005 and is currently an Ordained Minister in the Wesleyan Church. He completed his theological and ministerial education at Houghton College and Oklahoma Wesleyan University in 2019. Mr. Hockman volunteered in the Men’s Ministry, Celebrate Recovery, and Family Promise teams, as well as assisting in the Hospitality Ministry and Nursing Home Ministry, to name a few.

Mr. Hockman is married with three children. He loves to travel, read, spend time with his family and friends, and relax by the pool or the beach.

Jessica L. Sidlosky, Partner

Jessica L. Sidlosky has over eighteen years of accounting experience and has been with the firm since 2004. Mrs. Sidlosky provides tax and accounting services to clients in many different industries. She is responsible for planning, supervising, performing, and overseeing audit fieldwork, financial statement reporting, and tax preparation. Mrs. Sidlosky has extensive auditing experience and has been the auditor-in-charge for not-for-profit entities, property owners’ associations, and profit businesses. She also trains and supervises the accounting staff at Weseloh Carney & Company LLC. Mrs. Sidlosky received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Moravian College.

John T. Devivo, PA, Partner Emeritus

John T. Devivo is one of the founding members of Weseloh Carney & Company LLC. Mr. Devivo has been a licensed public accountant since 1978. He mostly specializes in small business clients, estates, fiduciary planning, and individual taxes. He has decades of expertise in tax planning and preparation. Mr. Devivo manages and supervises all employee staff at the firm.

Mr. Devivo served in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971 and was assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division to audit NCOs and enlisted service clubs throughout Germany. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Business from Bethel College, as well as his Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Lackawanna College.

Mr. Devivo worked at a previous tax firm from 1971 to 1978, where he was a senior accountant in charge of supervising and managing most operations. He also specialized in tax planning and preparation for small firms. He has worked at Weseloh Carney & Company LLC ever since.
